We have several cat and dog fostering options available to animal lovers in our community. The type of fostering depends on the time of year and other circumstances.
Kittens and Puppies – Care for and socialize weaned babies until they are big enough to be spayed/neutered and adopted.
Pregnant Cats and Dogs – Give pregnant animals a calm environment to have their babies. Care for mom until babies are weaned.
Under-Socialized Cats and Dogs – Take an animal into your home and work with it to build trust and confidence so the animal is more adoptable.
Cats and Dogs with Medical Needs – Care for a cat or dog recovering from major surgery or illness. Or, provide a loving home for an aged or terminal animal.
The shelter provides everything you need (e.g., food, medical care, bedding, litter) to care for the cat or dog. What we require of you is pretty simple:
- Have a safe and secure environment that is appropriate for that animal.
- Keep your animals current on vaccinations.
- Provide weekly updates and immediately report issues to the Shelter or your foster coordinator.
