Finn (aka) Squirt update
This is just a quick update on Squirt, the sweet little Siamese
mix I adopted from the shelter on Memorial Day weekend. He’s renamed Finn
and is fine, funny and doing great. Always curiously sticking his head in
any door/drawer/cabinet the instant it’s opened. I’m fully expecting he’ll
master opening these himself and I’ll hurdle back in time to needing to have
childproof latches on cabinets, etc.
He and my big 17 lb cat (not fat,
just BIG) play beautifully and are great together.
I had to take my border collie (he’s more bemused than anything else when
Finn and Bailey whip around) to a vet here in Seattle because he was due for
a rabies shot. The experience, which was not terrific, reminded me
how helpful and friendly your vet was. I had your vet check Finn before I
left Long Beach that weekend, and she retreated his ear mites and was
considerate enough to think through and offer that my other cat should
probably get a dose of Revolution, too. Super professional without feeling
she needed to be unfriendly.
All in all, my experience with your shelter and its vet was terrific. Thanks
again. I just may come back next Memorial Day because the shelter’s garage
sale yielded so many good finds (Finn included) that there’s evidence of the
weekend all around me.
Please let your volunteer who fostered the three Siamese brothers
and their mom know how much Finn is loved. I
have not tried him on a skateboard yet, but he gets lots of exercise
nonetheless.
