The artist, Warren Groscost from Orting, Washington is a 71 yr. old retired office machine repairman. He has been doing wood-turning for approximately 4 years and graduated from pen and pencil sets to creating beautiful wood bowls. The approximate value of the maple bowl is $50-$75. Warren says that the bowl should be used for dry or wrapped items only(no liquids!). He hopes that whoever wins it in the drawing really enjoys it.

Alesa Andrew, one of our most faithful and generous Shelter volunteers, donated a hand-made kitty quilt to the Raffle. The beautiful 44″ x 58″ quilt is machine sewn using many fall colors of gold, yellow, brown, creme and deep wine reds. Multi-colored kitties fill the center of the quilt surrounded by a 6″ boarder of smiling cats. The back of the quilt is creme and tan edged with wine red stitching. Winning this quilt would indeed be a family treasure for may years to come.
