Jeff Charbonneau, recently retained as contracted Development Director for SPCHS, donated a two-night stay in his Long Beach two-bedroom condo as a prize for the 2010 Raffle.
The Two Bedroom, Two Bath, Ocean View Condo has a full kitchen and kitchenette. The condo is located at The Breakers in Long Beach Washington and includes many recreational facilities and amenities: *Indoors swimming pool * Large outdoor Jacuzzi (new) * Large children’s playground * Sand volleyball court * Paved basketball court * Horseshoes * Covered gazebo containing charcoal barbeques and picnic tables * Fish cleaning stations * Washers and dryers * Dune trails * Discovery trail to Clark’s tree and Long Beach * Wildlife abounds with deer, raccoons, eagles, sandpipers, killdeer, and many shorebirds. LONG BEACH PENINSULA PACKAGE #1
The winner of this Long Beach Peninsula Package will enjoy:
A two-night stay in a one-bed cabin for two adults and two pets at Ocean Park’s Shakti Cove Cottages, . donated by Harriet and Celia Cavalli.
Each cottage has a full kitchen with dishes and pans, a bathroom with shower, a color cable TV/VCR, and quaint decor. They are charming, rustic and clean. Shakti Cove is a wonderful slice of paradise, located on the beautiful Long Beach Peninsula. Ten separate cottages are set in a semicircle, nestled in a grove of trees. The cottages are on 3 secluded acres, bordered by a stream that looks like a pond. It’s really a run-off creek from Loomis Lake to the ocean, and great blue herons visit often, as do many other water birds and otters. Guests just follow the sound of the surf over a footpath to the ocean. Warren Groscost of Orting, Washington, brother-in-law of Board member Rod and wife Verna Vetter who both volunteer at our Shelter remembered the SPCHS Raffle. Warren’s bowl donation for the 2009 Raffle was beautiful and a very popular prize.
This years Raffle donation is a hand turned on a wood lathe bowl valued at $75.00. The custom designed bowl made from Birch Wood has a rim of Black Walnut slices. The design of the rim is made from handpicking excess shell to form a lacy looking inset.
