How Do I Adopt?

First, come meet your new pal! Spend a little time at the shelter getting to know him or her. Take potential dogs for walks. We’ll help you set up meet and greets if you have other animals that should meet your new friend before you bring them home.
Complete an SPCHS adoption application [pdf]. The adoption fee & application are due at the time of the adoption.
- Adult Dogs (Spayed/Neutered): $50-$150
- Puppies & Small Dogs $90-180.
- Kittens & Cats (Spayed/Neutered): $50-100
- Seniors: $25 + 1 FREE year of membership!
First vaccines are provided by the Humane Society.
FREE veterinary exam is available within 5 days of adoption at participating veterinary hospitals/clinics.
WE OFFER DISCOUNTS on multiples adopted the same day!
ASK ABOUT senior, special needs & “why am I still here?” residents, which may have a lower fee.
Trial Period. If the animal is unsuited to the home or family, return the animal immediately to the Shelter.
Spay/Neuter Contract
Because we have a commitment to alleviate the dog and cat overpopulation problem, All animals adopted from our shelter must be spayed or neutered.
