Come and play in the Jungle Room with the mini tigers and lions!

Pet Report – By Cory McKeown
When we recently did some remodeling at the shelter and had to move the cats and
s around as the work progressed, some kind person got the great idea of putting all the kittens that were already altered and had complete shot series together in the Jungle Room. And what a wonderful place this has turned out to be!
This room is spacious, and has nice natural light and opens into the lobby through glass French doors. And the very best thing- there are no cages- the kittens are free range kittens, and boy, do they love this!
The setting is also great for our visitors looking to adopt a kitten, as they can go in the room and play with the kittens and watch them frolic. It is particularly nice, because the kittens tend to choose their people, rather than visa versa, and families with children can see what kittens seem good with the kids.
This setting is somewhat unusual for a shelter, as most people know who have visited shelters and have seen kitten after kitten in rows of cages, and have not been able to enjoy petting them and watching their wonderful antics.
So, if you are looking for a kitten to adopt, bring the family and come enjoy the Jungle Room. And remember, our prices for cats and kittens are fantastic- we have a “two fer” going on right now with kittens, and one can adopt two new delightful companions for less than the usual adoption fee for one kitten at most shelters. Sweet kittens at very nice prices!
Shelter wish list
We would be very grateful to receive donations of Purina Kitten Chow and canned cat food- the poultry varieties seem to be easiest on the kitties’ tummies. We want to say how appreciative we are of the kindness of our loyal supporters and wonderful volunteers- we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you so much for all you do.
