Baybee is a Lover Girl

Baybee

As a breed, Labs are known for their loving dispositions and people-pleasing ways. Baybee is a one and a half year old Lab mix, and she is no exception to the rule. She is exceptionally sweet and gentle, and wants nothing more in life than to cuddle and be petted. She loves to bury her head into people’s arms, and doesn’t want to be let go.

Baybee would be an ideal family dog, and though she is large, would be good with even the smaller members of the family due to her very gentle nature.

Come and ask to meet this pretty Lab- she is just waiting to share her love.

Oliver- Homely but Still a Hottie!!

Oliver

No, you don’t need to adjust your TV picture- this is really the way I look! If you were to look up “special needs, homely cat” in the dictionary, my picture would be in there!

My name is Oliver, and my life story started out a little sad, but would get much better if I found a loving home.

I was rescued by the Humane Society from a run-down trailer park, and I was half-dead from starvation and a respiratory infection. I had to spend a week at the veterinarians, but I got better, and am now at the shelter waiting for my forever home.

My ears are forever tattered from previous battles to survive, and I will always have a snuffy nose. I think I must be part Siamese, because I have baby-blue eyes and a cream-colored coat.

But, as it is said about some “appearance-challenged” people, the way I look is only the outside wrapper- I have a Wonderful personality! I am exceptionally sweet and affectionate- I am a real character, and although I am no longer a kitten, I love to play.

And oh, did I mention I am also a little hard of hearing? Surely there is a kind, maybe also hard of hearing person out there who is willing to take me home and just speak up a little bit when talking to me!

Because of my chronic respiratory condition, I probably should go to a home with no other cats. And due to my diminished hearing, a home in town with a fenced yard would be much safer for me. I am used to being an inside/outside kitty, and would not be happy kept strictly indoors. I do enjoy the companionship of other pets, though, and I am used to dogs and I even like them!

Please come and take me home- I may be homely, but I have a hottie personality. And, if I hear “oh Oliver, you’re so ugly you’re cute” one more time from the women here at the shelter, I am going to scream! Rescue me, please!

Shelter Wish List

We would be very grateful to receive donations of dry dog food, Kirkland or Pedigree brands, also Purina Kitten Chow for our fall crop of kittens. Thanks for thinking of the homeless animals, and for your support and donations.
